I’m going to be honest, the late C3 is my least favorite of the Corvettes (and to channel my inner Jalopnik, it should be yours too). Even in the high performance L-82 special like this one, it barely topped 200 horsepower and struggled to do 60 in under eight seconds. I know it was a product of the times, but still, that’s pathetic. At least this one is very well cared for, but still, I’ll take the 944.

I wouldn’t DD that and I’m prepared to fight you about it.

I’ve always kinda enjoyed the chunky-bumper fastback late C3. When I was a kid I made a model of the ‘82 collector edition.

i’d go for this one:

The C3 is the most beautiful Corvette ever made. Getting the extra power of these is also stupid easy.

I’m sure as hell not DDing it.

At least the paint job is cool.

The C3 is, in my opinion, the second most beautiful ‘Vette, aft the C2.
But in order for that to apply, it has to be an early, pre-ruination C3 like this.

The early C3 is beautiful but I still prefer the C2 first and then the 56-60 C1.

I’m ashamed that I can only give you one star. You deserve more. Long live C3s.

Barely topped? I think 230 HP out of a choked up 350 is pretty great at the time. What other performance car in America was doing better? None. Hell, not much else in the world was producing much more power.
10/10 would rather have the C3. I love ‘em.

1. 205 was the number I found.
2. Regal Grand National
2. To each their own.

1. 205 HP is the rating for the 1975 L82. After that, HP ratings increased, eventually reaching its peak of 230 HP in 1980.
2. The Regal GN wasn’t produced in ‘80, it was introduced in ‘82. Even in ‘82, it was pretty pathetic, as most came with a 4.1 V6 that made around 130 HP. Even in ‘84 when the real GN came around, it made 200 HP.
3. Well, yeah, most people would choose the 944, honestly :D
Not trying being a dick, but I like to defend C3s. They’re picked on quite a lot.

I absolutely adore the C3. Just the ones from the from about ‘68-74.

Amen!

Well, yeah, for sure. Nothing beats the chrome bumpered ‘68-’72s. But I have a ton of love for the other C3s too.

205 HP is what you get out a an L83 engine, which could be found in the 1982 car.

That’s actually untrue. 205 HP is the rating for an ‘84 L83. ‘82 L83s are rated at 200 HP. Not very substantial gains, but still.
